You are probably right, I’m sure he can sense I’m scared no matter how much I try to hide it.

It breaks my heart to hear your friend was only 44 yrs old with an 8 yr old daughter at home. I’m going to bet you are right, she probably did have it much longer than they were aware of. How long has it been?

That’s my fear, they focused for so many years on my husband’s lung issues and possibly neglected the heart. He had a Cath back in 2011 and it showed a very mild degree of PH but the Cardiologist wasn’t concerned at the time. We too, became so focused on his lungs that we completely forgot about the Cath he had 7 yrs ago. From that point on, his symptoms became worse and it wasn’t until this past year that they were concerned about his “acute changes.” The PH showed up on an Echocardiogram.

I guess we will have a good idea of the outcome and possibly length of time he’s had this after the Cath is done. He came down tonight and told me his resting heart rate was 118 and he had been in bed for 2 hours.
