Yes, I had many featured, top writer in MH and never received any incentives. I must say, it was a BIG incentive to write more frequently hoping the next pay out if featured would be a bit larger. I wasn’t looking to make a living, just a reward :) And my articles began to drop off of MH, I believe the last 3–4 I wrote never got featured, I lost top writer. This part will sound snobby but, a few I wrote were much better than some that were featured and I say that with humility, if that made sense?
