…t’s how you got into the field. The two men I’m seated in front of are combat veterans like me, and the word “mental health” has its own stigma in the military. It can get you blacklisted and stunt your career, but the military complex still harps on the issue given the rate at which soldiers kill themselves. All three of us have endured losing a friend to suicide, so I imagine they understand and proceed.
