What I Learned From Myself In A Parallel Universe

I was taking a scenic train ride through the Sierra Nevada’s and the conductor spoke over the speaker system that we would be entering a tunnel. The conductor went on to say that the train would slow to 5 mph while traveling through the 2 mile tunnel. I remember entering the tunnel but I don’t remember exiting A tunnel. I looked around and everyone seemed a bit confused. I felt disoriented, yet I also had a feeling of complete peace engulfing me. Feeling at peace wasn’t something I had felt in ages, this was a welcome feeling.

Suddenly, the train stopped and the conductor’s voice was echoing like a beautiful harp, telling us that the train will be stopping and we should all exit for a break. As we disembarked from the train we went through an enclosed people mover which I thought was strange but I still felt at peace. As we began to exit the people mover I saw the sun shining so brightly, yet, it didn’t hurt my eyes. Suddenly, I saw a row of homes bursting with color but for some reason I knew this to be the neighborhood and home I grew up in.
