Juliet James, thank you for your comments. I’m so sorry you lost a friend to this illness. Can I ask how old your friend was? To tell a person who’s unable to breathe with exercise to lose weight is absurd. In an ideal world, it makes sense but the weight came on after my husband was unable to be active any more. He is still working but has employees who do the physical work, he runs his own IT/Networking Company.
Ironic, that your friend had Saroidosis. They are insisting now it was hypersensitivity pneumonitis, they both produce granulomas and those can be hard to diagnose at times. Either way, if the disease(s) affect the lungs, the lungs must work harder which causes the heart to work harder too, hence, the damage.
My heart broke again tonight as I watched my husband lay on the couch while our granddaughter was over. Normally, he would have been up playing with her and accompanied me on a walk with her. He wasn’t able to.
He will have a left and right heart Cath on May 24th, I’m scared (he doesn’t know that) and he’s petrified which isn’t like him. I write so much about anxiety and depression, I now see it in my husband and I feel helpless.
Thank you SO much for sharing all you did, I really appreciate it.
