Hi Robert,
I had no idea you had suffered from Panic attacks. That’s just it, it’s an illness that is silent to those who see us. It’s silent, unless we allow them into that part of our lives.
I use Xanax for break through anxiety and I only use it in extreme circumstances because I don’t want my body to become used to it, then I will either require more or it won’t work as it should.
Did you find your vertigo was related to panic or a period of Anxiety? Dizziness and Vertigo will hit me if I ignore other symptoms that may present first. I find Vertigo to be very frightening and I think it’s because you literally can’t function when you’re spinning and it also feels like you’re going to pass out- Xanax does work when it’s that extreme!
You made a good point about being ‘hopped up on adrenaline,’ I find it’s hard to stay with it then or if I have fallen into a low grade depression that doesn’t seem to want to leave. Ah, it sure can be a catch 22 when it comes to treatment!
Thanks for sharing your story and reading mine. I truly believe the more it’s written about, talked about etc… the stigma will one day dissipate. That’s my hope! I also hope you are feeling better now?
