3 ways to get your story featured on Medium:
- Write a title that begins with 3 ways… maybe? Oh, and “Why you need to get a dog.” Thanks Larry Boyer
- Become well known- Oh wait, how does that happen if you can’t get featured often even if you write almost daily?
- Pretend you are playing the lottery after you submit, resign yourself to the idea that you’re going to win bigly. Ah, that’s a crap shoot too. Maybe some titles are similar to click bait (note: some), not the majority.
How to get your story featured?
First of all just chill, have a glass of wine and let those words flow. Oh, you can try emailing links of your articles along with a pitch to tips@medium.com, maybe some people have great luck with that, so far, I’ve had nada luck!
Choose your categories wisely? Okay, I have had luck with my articles that pertain to Mental Health issues but it seems if I interject a subject matter that includes Mental health issues along with a story that may not be fully related to Mental Health, I can’t find my stories in any of the categories I’ve listed. So, I’m not sure what the secret ingredient is. Luck, who knows?
